Issue Synopsis by James "Marvelite" Pedrick: Part five, of this six-part story, begins with Galactus sending the Silver Surfer off to find him another planet full of life. He goes off in search and is quickly spotted by a Kree ship. The captain of the ship sends out a call to the Surfer, which one of his men feel is crazy, knowing that the Surfer has returned to Galactuss service. The Silver Surfer agrees, asking him why he would ever call him to his ship. The Kree soldier makes a proposal though. He tells the Surfer to take Galactus to the Shiar homeworld. If Galactus is ever to be stopped, the Shiar homeworld would have to do it. The Silver Surfer agrees, though realizing the Kree would just want the Shiar, who have conquered them, to be destroyed. Meanwhile, Alicia returns to Earth, where the heroes are gathering together for Thanksgiving. Alicia asks how they can do this, when Galactus is feasting on worlds. But Reed Richards reveals he has a plan which may be able to stop him. Meanwhile, the Surfer comes to the Shiar homeworld, where they immediately arm their defenses. They attack the Surfer, but he tries to defend himself without causing any death, hoping to reach Liandra, to warn her. He comes aboard one ship and asks the captain to cease his attack, and that they must prepare for Galactuss coming. The captain insists that he wont come if the Surfer isnt around, and then atomized his entire ship and crew, trying to destroy the Surfer with them. But the Silver Surfer remains unharmed and the Kree watch in glee and then notice the arrival of the Starjammers. Who arrive and successfully shoot the Surfer out of the sky. The Shiar then take his body to Liandra at her request. The Silver Surfer looks unconscience, but awakens when they take him to Liandra. Gladiator tries to attack the Surfer, but is stopped by Liandra. The Surfer then explains that he wishes to help them, at which Liandra asks why then he sent Galactus there. He reveals that its because only the Shiar could save the galaxy from Galactus. Meanwhile, the Kree spot Galactuss large ship coming closer to the Shiar homeworld. Back at the homeworld, the Fantastic Four and Avengers show up. Gladiator insists that they should not trust Reed Richards after he defended Galactus (in the Trial of Galactus). But Liandra silences him again and then turns to Reed Richards, asking if he has a plan to save her people. And thats where the issue finishes leading into the big finale
Review by James "Marvelite" Pedrick: This issue was exciting and really got my hopes up for the big ending. The story of the whole series seems to be coming together and all the guest-appearances were a good plus to the issue. The artwork seemed a little rushed and disappointing compared to the other issues, especially last ones, but overall it was still good as well. This issue was especially great, though, because of the premiere of the letter column, called Devourer of Words, named by our sites very own Morfex, and opens with a special thanks to this site and its many contributors... Thanks Louise, for the mention Im glad you appreciate our little corner on the Web!
