These images came from Marvels, originally published as a mini-series written by Kurt Busiek with art painted by Alex Ross (who both received large popularity as a result). It retold the classic tales of Marvel's superheroes, starting back with Marvel's Invaders during World War I, then featuring some of Marvel's mutants, then Galactus's first visit on earth, and then ending with the death of Gwen Stacy. All of the stories were seen through the eyes of an average person, with lifelike images to go with it. I It has since been republished with additional artwork.
