History Behind Issue: Continued from issue #34. Jim Starlin's second issue on the Silver Surfer with the continuation on the Rebirth of Thanos.

Plot: After taking a full blast from the Silver Surfer at point blank range and ignoring it, Thanos begins to show him why Death has brought him back from the dead and what the plan is. Many civilizations have and are flourishing, causing an imbalance between how many beings have died versus those alive. Thanos demonstrates to the Silver Surfer by teleporting them both to a planet named Salaria where the inhabitants
have no predators and continue to flourish and multiply. Thanos calculates that in a matter of a relatively short time, their civilization will become too large and fall into chaos. Their environment will no longer be able to support them causing warfare
and cannibalism. Thanos transports the Silver Surfer away to a ledge on another planet where he tells him his plan is to destroy 50% of the current living organisms to right the imbalance. The Silver Surfer vows to stop him but Thanos tells him he has already aided in the plan. He explains that normally the Silver Surfer does not have to worry about transporting bacteria from planet to planet because he burns them off as he goes through an atmosphere. But because this time he was teleported by Thanos, he unintentionally carried a bacteria to a defenseless planet where by now, the disease would be spreading through the inhabitants. The Surfer has no choice but to rush off to the planet while Thanos' laughter roars. The being known as Chronos hears the foul laughter and realizes Thanos is alive. Immediately, he awakens Drax the Destroyers as the ancient enemy of Thanos. Meanwhile, the Surfer arrives at the planet and implants the cure into one of the inhabitants. He then vows to find Thanos and put an end to the insanity.

Continued in issue #36.

Comments: The art is average.  We start seeing the manipulating Thanos that we're used to from Jim Starlin.
