AnotherUniverse.Com's Daily Buzz reports:
Kevin Walker, who wrote the script for horror-thriller Se7en has reportedly been hired to write a Silver Surfer movie.
Production could begin in 2001 and the film will focus on the Surfer's attempts to fend off former master Galactus, according to Cinescape and Variety.
AnotherUniverse.Com also had the following to say about other Marvel movies:
"We have story and outline approval, and the script cannot be different from what was approved," company exec Avi Arad told Variety columnist Michael Fleming. "We have a say over how the characters will look, access to dailies in a timely fashion, and we either exec produce or produce. Legally, we have a lot of checks and balances, but the way we work with studios is very collaborative."
Spidey causing the death of a villain was already axed by Marvel from the script, Arad said. "Spider-Man never kills anybody." I guess the Green Goblin doesn't count, eh?
Marvel wants Gosnell for the film to be produced by Chris Columbus and Michael Barnathan from a Sam Hamm script, according to Variety and Cinescape.
