Information on Galactus Sequel
written by James Pedrick, 01/20/2000

Louise Simonson recently revealed new information about her upcoming sequel to Galactus: The Devourer.  She said the premise of the new series is: "Galactus existed as a bulwark against an all-consuming Evil, now Galactus is no more ... and in his absence the Evil, that has always been, begins to form and threaten the very existence of the universe."

She also said that, while she is unsure of what its format will be, it is currently scheduled as a fall event, it will be part of a "Uber-event" that would tie in nicely with a story by Kurt Busiek (which is rumored to feature the Infinities hinted at in Avengers Forever).  Louise Simonson also said that the current artist planned for the new series is Pascual Ferry, who she has worked closely with on her Marvel-Tech title Warlock series.

And, just like the first series, Silver Surfer will be the main star "and, of course, there'll be lots of guest stars...both cosmic and mundane."
