ADAM WARLOCK
TITLE - THINGS FALL APART
Back on Monster Isle, Moondragon is recovering from Domitian's assault on her body. She is physically incapable of anything. However, mentally she can still communicate with others. Adam calls a meeting believing they should find a new mind gem protector while Moondragon heals. Maxam nominates himself. Gamora explicitly states her opposing view. Maxam, then mentions that it is Warlock's decision, and that whatever he decides, he knows Gamora will follow because that's how puppy love is. Gamora is so infuriated that she knocks Maxam to the other side of the wall. He then begins getting up and smiling tries to apologize for the cheap shot, but Gamora is too enraged to listen. She hits him several more times. Now Maxam gets angry and the two begin to fight. Gamora sends him through a wall. Pip and Warlock refuse to get into the fight for fear of injury. The two are seemingly fighting to the death. Moondragon then contacts Warlock. She has entered Drax's mind because it offers the least resistance, in order for her to see what is going on. Warlock asks her to calm Maxam and Gamora down. As Moondragon tries to concentrate, her memories become Draxs' also since they are in the same mind. Drax begins recalling the past. The mental agony causes a telekinetic storm to occur and boulders and pieces of the castle fly about knocking things down. Moondragon finally exits Drax' mind. The event causes Maxam and Gamora to stop fighting. Warlock then tells Gamora to desist. She is angered by Warlock's seemingly taking sides although he replies he is just doing what is best for the team. He then states that if she cannot adapt...before he can finish, Gamora quits and throws the time gem at Warlock and walks away. Warlock gives the gem to Maxam. Later, Maxam is observing the gem hoping he can help as best he can on the team, and feeling sad that Gamora has left. He puts the time gem on his forehead and exclaims "No!" in surprise of what the gem allows him to see. Meanwhile, Thanos is shown contemplating his previous failures and creating new plans that will involve the Reality gem.
