Zakaius realizes that Warlock and the Watch are not the cosmic transgressors he was told they were, stopping their fighting with Zakaius in order to save the people close by from the explosion that had just happened. He reveals that he has been doing work for his Lord and now realizes that he may be being used to obtain life forces for Lord Domitian. They travel to his domain and Zakaius encounters an elderly gentlemen, who is revealed to be Lord Domitian. Domitian resists the accusations and sends his minions after the Watch. The Watch must resort to using brute force against the robots. Warlock requests Zakaius to transport them into the palace of Lord Domitian but Zakaius replies he cannot unless Lord Domitian wishes it. Pip then attempts to take over the transportation phase, but a much younger warrior all of a sudden appears to the Watch calling himself Lord Domitian. Meanwhile, on an alien world named Luarei, the citizens attempt to give the god/king that they have encountered a fitting burial. Because they have tainted the soil with their burials and deaths, they feel their only option is to cremate Firelord. A service is given in his honor, and the fire burial ensues.
