A little jealous of the newcomer, Gamora lashes out at her. Maya does a dance of unreality that knocks everyone around for a loop. Everyone except Warlock who tells her to stop it. She is surprised at this and Warlock mentions that he has a special sense of reality. There being too much commotion, Warlock excuses his Watch so that he and Maya may talk more privately and expeditiously. Reluctantly, Gamora and the rest of the Watch leave. Maya claims to be from a dimension called Egolix-7. She is part of a royal family that was overthrown by a tyrant of which Warlock has made an acquaintance - Count Abyss. She claims that she is part of a resistance group that is trying to overthrow him and that they are in need of powerful allies. She proposes a friendship between the two so that they may help each other. Warlock agrees and Maya drinks a placebo which is supposed to protect her from the effects of the potion she brought with her. Little does she know that although she is attempting to trick Warlock into drinking it, Count Abyss is tricking her by not protecting her from the potion. They make a toast and all becomes quiet in the room. Pip and the rest of the Watch finally decide to look in and are shocked as they see Maya and Warlock kissing passionately and uncontrollably! Count Abyss succeeds in his plan of getting the two to fall in love from a love potion that has no cure. Meanwhile, on Egolix-7, Darklore and Meer'lyn (from Warlock Chronicles) arrive.
