TITLE - CLASH
The troll clan prepare to sacrifice the Watch, Silver Surfer and Dr. Strange, but the witch counselor realizes that Pip is a troll and therefore has certain rights according to the laws they follow. They remove magical vines from around his neck (Valkisack vines) which sap the will and Pip wakes up. They tell him he will have a chance to survive if he defeats a warrior of his choosing. Pip then asks to substitute himself for someone in his group. The trolls allow a surrogate fighter by law, but they choose the warrior he will then face. Pip agrees and goes about deciding who to pick. His first choice is Gamora, but the trolls will not allow a warrior to fight a mere woman. Thinking hard, he decides not to use Drax because of his limited intelligence. Dr. Strange and the Silver Surfer are considered but, the contest being just pure strength and martial prowess, he doesn't feel they will fare well. Should they use any powers, Moondragon's throat will be slit. Maxam is not even considered as Pip does not feel he can trust him yet. He therefore picks Warlock. After Warlock is awakened, he is explained the situation. Warlock begins fighting with their champion Olik, brother of Ulik. Warlock begins by fighting him well as the slower/large Olik is brely able to connect. Later however, Warlock allows himself to be hit to distract the watching audience, but rolls with the punches while he secretly communicates with Pip through the soul gem to teleport and release the others. Once they are released, Warlock stops pretending to be hurt and quickly Karmic blasts Olik. The trolls are enraged, as the Watch, Silver Surfer and Dr. Strange break through the dungeon into the arena and make their escape. The group flies out of there and head over to meet Odin as Warlock exclaims that they have wasted enough time.
