the projection of magical energy as force-blasts, invisability, matter manipulation, image
projection, size transformation of his own body or other objects or beings, the creation
of temporary interdimensional apertures, and so on. There seems to be no single feat
beyond Mephisto's capability, with two exceptions : the subjegationof any sentient being's
will to his own without that being's deliberate submission, and the "reading" of
a sentient being's thoughts. Mephisto also possesses certain powers enabling him to
capture and detain the astral bodies (souls) of recently deceased human beings. Mephisto
does not have jurisdiction over all the souls of humankind's recently deceased. One way is
when someone dies on Earth they can choose to go to Hell if they choose to go through the
portal. There are also other unknown ways he can gain the souls of the recently deceased.
Superhuman Physical Powers: As a demon, Mephisto is functionally immortal and beyond
such human needs as nourishment, air, and sleep. His body appears to be composed of some
supernatural substance more durable and resiliant than human flesh and tissue. Among the
demons of various netherworlds adjacent to Earth, Mephisto has few rivals in terms of
personal power and scope of influence. Only Thog and Satannish come close.

Origin: Mephisto is an extradimensional demon, his nature and origins are unknown. He was
the ruler of a fiery dimension he calls Hell, and has a number of lesser demons serving
him. His domain also houses the astral bodies (souls) of certain deceased sentient beings,
trapped in the bodies of demons. These demons have been magically altered to look like the
deceased mortal's form. Mephisto seems to live only to torture and cause suffering to
others. He had a son named BlackHeart whom in turn killed Mephisto. Now Mephisto is just a
lone soul in Limbo on Earth. There he gathers an army of those choosing "Heaven"
and his former home Hell.
